In 2006, Bombay Express was launched in Austin, Texas, and ever since it has been one of the most popular Indian vegetarian restaurants in the town. The founders, Falguni and Mehul, adapted a range of authentic regional vegetarian dishes of India and turned them into contemporary eating experiences when walk-in the restaurant in groups or order the same to share with family or friends at home.
In 2019 Bombay Express was handed over to Dev Thanky. Dev is a passionate culinary expert and a very hospitable manager. He has not only maintained the original menu to the perfection but also added a number of new dishes which have become very popular. Chef Aarav (Head Chef): Aarav, our head chef, brings over 20 years of experience from India’s top culinary schools, specializing in traditional spices and regional recipes.
Chef Meena (Specialty Chef): Meena focuses on South Indian cuisine, crafting our famous dosas and idlis with a blend of tradition and innovation.
Anjali (Manager): Our manager, Anjali, leads the service team with a commitment to exceptional hospitality and customer satisfaction.
